Yes I agree.

I had a long discussion (email) of this sort about a year and a half ago with a man who clearly would choose The Other Side (despite being educated at Georgetown, serving 20+ years as a diplomat, etc). It was very interesting. And unusual (in its even happening). The thing that needs to be done, as I see it, is to talk to The Other Side--we can preach to our own (non-secular) choir forever, but it's the dialogue with "conservatives" that needs to be happening, both to "get" their perspective and to introduce (and hopefully argue well against, in the instances where that's necessary) alternatives.
