The CNN.com headline today reads, "GOP Debaters Argue Who Is Most Conservative." It is a measure of the horrible legacy of Ronald Reagan that it is inconceivable that the 2008 Democratic Presidential candidates would argue who among them is the most liberal. Reagan trashed the word "liberal" quite thoroughly, and there hasn't been a candidate since with the guts to reclaim it.
